At the feet of the majestic Langeberg Mountains, a mere two hour drive from Cape Town, lies the picturesque country village - Montagu.

Here, you will find Jessica's Restaurant, where guests can enjoy a romantic candle-light dinner in this beautifully restored Victorian home dating back to the late 1800's. On Montagu's warm summer evenings, dinner is served under the stars - in a lush garden with terraces, wooden deck and water feature.

The restaurant, is full of antique furniture, old books and a Russ teddy bear here and there... selected artists from Montagu and nearby towns has their work on display at Jessica's, art can be viewed daily.

From Chef Heinrich-Werner's kitchen you can expect wonderful food, created with artistic flair and an absolute attention to detail. At Jessica's we only use fresh and local ingredients, vegetables and herbs are picked fresh, and we are often spoiled by Rob (local here in town) with bags full of fresh produce from his garden.

Heinrich-Werner's firm favorite on his menu must be the Ginger pickled Pork belly, served with home-made black pudding and smoked apple brandy ice cream, which of course he also makes himself. Then, there is his Springbok Loin cooked Sous Vide with home-made Spatzle and espresso jus. Desserts has much to offer like his chocolate drenched chocolate brownie or the vanilla consomme, but my favorite of course will be the Heinrich Pedro.. a layered dessert drink of Kahlua and rose syrup, the next one a Frangelico cream and then on top the Whiskey Dom Pedro, served with chocolate jellies and fruit caviar.

Jessica's also offers a Tasting Menu which includes dishes cooked Sous Vide - French for 'under vacuum' this cooking method intend to maintain the integrity and flavour of food.

The wine list are a collection of wonderful wines from the R62, we have done allot of tasting and some of these cellars has been visited more than once... to find the perfect Merlot, Pinotage and Shiraz. Our love for the nectar of the gods, are clearly shown in this wine menu.
