a Gastronomic experience in Montagu at the foot of the Langeberge, a mere two hour drive from Cape Town. Enjoy contemporary cuisine with the emphasis on using fresh local produce.
The Victorian house, dating back to the late 1800's, has been beautifully restored in rich, warm colours. During summer months dinner can be enjoyed on our terraces in the landscaped garden. Mature trees complete the picture of an evening not to be forgotten.
From chef-owner Heinrich-Werner's kitchen you can expect wonderful food, created with an artistic flair and attention to detail. Only the freshest - and where possible - local ingredients are use to create cullinary masterpieces. Fresh Trout from Franschhoek, delivered 3 times a week, wild mushrooms picked regularly in the forests close to Stellenbosch, herbs and veggies picked early in the morning are just a few of the ingredients on our A-la-Carte or Four course menu.
Expect an element of surprise when dining at Jessica's. Werner loves to work with foams, soft and brittle gels and unusual flavours to enhance a dish, like a few drops of pine needle oil!
We offer an A-la-Carte menu, that changes every 6 months, and also a Four Course dinner menu. Duck confit served with Grand Marnier jelly, spicy chorizo and prawn salad and springbok tartar served with home-made mustard ice cream are just a few of our starters. Springbok, ostrich and lamb are firm favourites on the main course menu. Desserts offer home-made ice creams, creme brulee, coffee pearls suspended in whisky and a decadent brownie to end off a meal. We offer a specialised winelist with wines from the Robertson Wine Valley, which are paired with the menu.
We offer seating for 40 guests, and can cater for small groups and intimate weddings.
